Description
From the day PTA began commuter train services to the mid 90s, the Budd RDC's were one of the railroad's oldest locomotives used in commuter service. Built for the Zungali Railroad in the 1950s for branch lines, a total of 50 of these were bought by the Pennsville Transit Authority for commuter duties on both 3rd rail and non 3rd rail lines. They were given some modifications such as corridor connectors and K5L horns. Mostly running out of Philadelphia and Pennsville, these units operated for a number of years before being retired from service in the 90s, with a number of these going to other rail companies or museums and a few scrapped.

Very nice train piece! Reminds me of the single decker Chicago South Shore and South Bend EMU trains.
